|Description:||Employed by Avflight Services a contractor for Allegiant Air at the Kansas City International Airport, MO (MCI) up to 36 hours/week.|
The station Supervisor will report to the Airline Service Manage and is responsible for both ground and flight operations, including the passenger services, aircraft handling, and catering operations. Station supervisors are also responsible for selling tickets, checking in baggage, making announcements, preparing passengers and cargo, and performing other necessary services.
|Duties:||An Airline Service Supervisor will assist the Manager with the following: direct and coordinate airline and or airline station activities at MSY; review reports on the station activity to determine data needed for planning station operations; direct the arrangement of work schedules for optimum employee efficiency for both scheduled and non-scheduled flights. Airline Service Supervisor also coordinate activities such as passenger reservations and ticketing, commissary services, and ramp to ensure that all these activities meet the policies and regulations of the company as well as the government. Airline Service Supervisor also constantly evaluates the staff to establish and conceptualize training to promote efficiency. Airline Service Supervisor will also keep an open line of communication with the TSA and Airport Authority regarding charter and airline flight schedules and loads, in addition to working closely with charter airlines and brokers of private flights. Training employees on multiple aircraft types, as well as making sure the group is in general training compliance. The Airline Service Supervisor must report to the Regional Manager of Airline Services to convey pertinent operation information and operational issues. In addition the Charter & Airline Service Supervisor will also oversee Avflight Services screening and GSC program at their location, if applicable. Duties in this area involve training new hires, recurrent training, record keeping and maintaining, soliciting carriers for the service, staffing events, going to event to evaluate the staff, TSA inspections and audits by the FAA and airlines, and invoice out all events. This roll requires the Supervisor to be very assertive with the staff when procedures are not followed, and a very open line of communication with the customer or customers and impeccable follow through.|
|Qualifications:|| Must be at least 18 years of age|
High school diploma or GED required
Aviation and supervisory experience preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
Be available to work weekends, holidays if required
Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record
Pass all background and security checks and drug test
Ability to multitask; and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

To be successful in this field, one must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, superior problem solving skills, great leadership skills, good administrative skills, very assertive, impeccable follow through, and very flexible in their schedule. The Airline Service Supervisor must be motivated, goal-oriented, lead by example, open minded, and have the ability to analyze, evaluate, and implement rules, handle customers and employees well and work well under pressure. Airline Service Supervisor must have a genuine passion in providing customer service and have the ability to manage his/her time, particularly when he/she may be required to work for flexible hours.
The Airline Service Supervisor will work outdoors and indoors with the staff for all operations to ensure the operation is done safe and efficient, which makes the Airline Service Supervisor position a highly visible position.
